Meet Fauna – A Sweet, Gentle Little Treasure
Fauna is a 1-year-old Black Mouth Cur/Chihuahua mix who weighs in at just 15 pounds–small enough to scoop up for cuddles, but big enough to keep up with you on life’s adventures! She’s a little shy at first, but with treats, gentle words, and love, she warms up quickly and shows her true affectionate personality.
This intelligent girl is eager to please and a quick learner, which means training her will be a breeze. She’s already a wonderful listener and with some basic training, she’ll blossom into the perfect companion. Fauna is still learning how to walk on a leash, but she’s making progress every day.
Fauna’s gentle nature shines with every creature she meets. She has grown up around kids, cats, other dogs, and even the elderly, and does beautifully with them all. Whether it’s snuggling up for some love, enjoying playtime, or simply being a calm presence by your side, she’s ready to fit right into a loving family.
She also does well on car rides, making her a great little travel buddy. With her sweet spirit and loving nature, Fauna is sure to make her forever family very happy.

All animals at HSO are current on their vaccinations and will be spayed/neutered prior to adoption. If not already spayed/neutered, there may be a short delay between when you select this pet and when they are ready to go home.
Breed and age are determined based on observable physical traits. Actual lineage and birth date are rarely known.
Adoption Fees:
-$60 for cats
-$60 for dogs over 6 years
-$80 for dogs 6 months old to 6 years
-$100 for puppies up to 6 months
Come visit our pets Tuesday-Saturday, 10am-2pm.
